Permanent Makeup, Waxing & Tattoo Caloundra
You can hear the surf pounding from just about anywhere in Caloundra. Paths and boardwalks lead around the headland and along the beaches. Every one of the beaches has its own particular character.
Kings Beach has a listed bathing pavilion and is a surf beach with a seawater swimming pool; Shelly Beach has dangerous waves and rocks, but shells and rock pools too, and dogs are allowed;
Moffat Beach is surrounded by housing and parkland and cafés; Dicky Beach, by the rainforest, has a surf lifesaving club and the skeleton of the S.S. Dicky, and is patrolled all year round;
Golden Beach, protected by Bribie Island, is for swimmers and windsurfers, and just about anyone who wants to go boating or fishing;
Bulcock Beach has still, clear waters and volunteer lifesavers, boardwalks, piers and restaurants.
All the beaches have have glorious golden sand and plenty of places to picnic. The cliffs and panoramic views, the wonderfully named Pumicestone Passage and the Queensland nature reserves are all there to delight you. There is no shortage of places to stay, ranging from the posh to the friendly, the international to the family-run.
The perfect playground
The whole of the Sunshine Coast is easily accessible from Caloundra, its southernmost town, whether you hire a car or prefer to take the local buses. And there are so many events in Caloundra that there is always something to do: from the par 71 golf course that feeds rainbow lorikeets at four every afternoon to the Sunshine Coast Turf Club, which is one of Australia’s finest thoroughbred racing and training facilities — never a dull moment. And of course the Music Festival is held every October and the Chilli Festival in November.
